The Korean national U-20 women's soccer team won by two goals in its second friendly match against the United States,

considered the 'world's best.'

The women's U-20 national team, led by coach Park Yoon-jung, won 4-2 in the second away friendly match against the US

women's U-20 national team held at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, USA on the 4th (Korean time).

Korea, which experienced a difference in skill by being completely defeated 0-3 in the first match on the 1st, won the

second match with excellent finishing ability.

It is the first time that South Korea has defeated the United States at any level in women's soccer since a 3-0 win in the

group stage of the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taiwan.

The Korean U-20 women's national team, preparing for the 2024 FIFA U-20 World Cup (August 31-September 22,

Colombia), has thus finished two away evaluation matches against the United States with 1 win and 1 loss.

Korea opened the scoring with a left-footed shot by Park Su-jeong after receiving a pass from Jeon Yu-kyung in the 14th

minute of the first half, and three minutes later, Jo Hye-young scored an additional goal after receiving a cutback from

Jeon Yu-kyung who rushed into the penalty area, taking the lead one step further.

Korea broke through the American defense in the 34th minute of the first half when Bae Ye-bin scored her third goal with

a left-footed shot assisted by 추천 Jeon Yu-kyung.

Jeon Yu-kyung achieved a 'hat-trick of assists' by providing three assists in the first half alone.

Korea, which conceded a header goal to Alisson Sentner of the United States in the first half's extra time, solidified its

victory with a goal by Jeong Da-bin in the 19th minute of the second half.

Korea conceded another goal in the 38th minute of the second half, but finished the game without giving up any more

goals.

Coach Park Yoon-jung said through the Korea Football Association, "There were some disappointing aspects in the first

game, but in the second game, I emphasized more in detail the positions where the players should receive the ball. Thanks

to all the players' good performance, we were able to create scoring scenes."

He added, "The United States is the objectively superior team, but we were confident that we could do it too. There are

things we need to improve on before going to the World Cup, such as our defensive organization and finishing ability, so

we will prepare well."
